Dr James Boyd -Medical Director -MBBS, FRACGP (Gender - Male)
I grew up in England and studied medicine in Wales at Cardiff University. As a junior doctor I came to Australia in 2008 for a 'working holiday' on the North Coast of NSW but I enjoyed the experience so much that I never returned home. After completing various hospital rotations at Lismore Base Hospital and in Newcastle, I decided that General Practice was the career I wanted to pursue, and I completed my GP training in the Northern Rivers. I like the variety of General Practice and the continuity of care that it enables. I enjoy the full spectrum of General Practice presentations and particular interests of mine include mental health, chronic disease management and indigenous health.
